When Will Everything Get Back To Normal

Chirag was very excited to go back to his school after one year of online classes. He was super happy to see his friends as it was their last year at the school and he didn’t want to miss the feeling of school life. He was praying so hard to God to let this pandemic finish as early as possible so that he could get back to normal routine of school life and enjoy his classes with his friends. After the school reopening, he didn’t feel any better as everything was not so normal as he thought, the world around him has changed after Covid-19 and he felt odd about that. Chirag thought that after the pandemic everything will get back to normal as it was before, but there were many changes as the masks were made compulsory by the school management and the school teacher too gave counselling to the students. They said that as of now everything got back to normal but we should be careful so that the same pandemic does not happen again, and also using of the playground was made strict, after 4pm none of them were allowed to play. Everyone was living with a fear and this made Chirag sad. Even though he was a grown up boy and could understand the situation well, he too wanted everything to get back to normal like before and his hope of enjoying his +2 was like a dream that is not going to be fulfilled. But he thought maybe some or the other way might come. During the break Chirag and his best friend Manav was discussing with their other friends about whether they will be having their school trip, but many were saying there will be no chance for the trip because of this virus and may be this year will be boring with no trips and only studies. Like every other student Chirag was thinking about his fate and asking himself, “Why this virus came and made our life a hell, without any enjoyment how could we have memories?”. During dinner Chirag was having a talk with his father and mother, Mr. and Mrs. Sharma about the change of his school and they told him that at least he is going to school without any difficulties and with God's grace they were safe during the time of pandemic and he should be happy with what he is having. Chirag thought for some time about what his father said and the next morning he told his mother, “Maa… I am happy with what I am having and the most important is our health, everything is a waste if we are unhealthy and I should thank god. At least we can go to our school rather than attend those boring online classes and these could be the memories that I could cherish forever.”
